Ancillary Tasks: Audience Feedback

Keira's feedback

Here is an example of one of the five questionarries i have handed out to my friends and family to find outwhat they thought of our ancilliary tasks
1.All five participants said yes as the poster and album both had clear information abut the band as typical digipaks and posters do, such as the band's name, album name and release date.
2. 1 parcipant said no that the products were good but typical of any other poster and didgipak, however the others mentioned the use of the leaf effect and the four panals and colour grading as interesting and eyecatching as they stood out.
3. all 5 people agreed that the products worked as they were 'eye catching' and used the same fonts and colours throughout so they looked professional and real.
4. They element mainly pointed out as interesting was the leaf effect, as well as two people saying the colour grading of the photogragh was impressive and also the idea of reversing the photograph.
5. All five participants said that the digipak could of contained more information about the publishing and record label, maybe on the back cover in small print, as suggested by one participant as this is trypical of an album case.
6. The brand image was described as 'bright and quirkey', 'simple and sophisticated' and 'a unique, fun, indie style'.
7. All 5 of my participants said there was a clear brand image and this was created through the use of a colour scheme, the same font being used through outout aswell as the reversing of the photogragh to be used again on both front and back cover aswell as the poster and the leaf effect being used on each panal and the poster.
8. Question 7 then meant that 100% of my participants agreed that the brand image did not need to be made stronger.

Laura's Audience Feedback

Here are the most the answers to my audience feedback questionaires summerised into one answer:

1) Do you think the products are typical of album covers/posters? If so in what ways is it similar?
The products are typical of an album cover/poster because they have the band's name, the album name, good use of imagery and a release date.

2) Does anything make it different or does it stand out from the typical? How?
The colours used are different as the photos themselves have been edited. The shots inside the cover were different and the leaves effect caught the eye. The fact that there was no imagery of the band also stood out.

3) Does it work? Why?
It does work because it is good to look at, it gives off the right information you would expect to see on an album cover and poster and it related to the music video.

4) Name two interesting/impressive elements from the ancillary tasks?
The use of colour and photography were the main elements mentioned in the questionaire.

5) Could these products be stronger - if so how?
Yes, maybe more colours used relating back to the music video, this could have also made it look even more individual and eye catching. More effects used maybe.

6) Can you sum up the brand image of this album/band in a short sentence?
The image is definately individual fitting with the genre perfectly creating a style of its own.

7) Can you see a clear brand image? And what creates the clear brand image?
Yes, the photographs used relating back the music video create a clear brand image. So do the colours used and the theme.

8) If not, what could have made the brand image stronger?
You can see a clear brand image.
